Some days even Friday isn’t enough, is it?  Those are the days when you just have to get away.  A friend pointed me in the direction of a film called “Into the Wild” which is all about a boy who does just that.  His getaway is far more extreme than mine, though! 

Here is a clip which shows you a little about the film.  It has a wonderful soundtrack which is well worth a listen to as well.  I hope you enjoy it.

Sometimes it just isn’t good to be a tidy little creature.  Just look at Scruffy Bunny from Unique Kids.

Isn’t he cute?  He has little squeakers in his hands and feet which will amuse babies.  He is soft, cuddly and squishable.

He would make a great gift for a newborn but I think he is good looking enough to sit on my bed and wait for me.

Now that it is cold outside I find myself thinking twice about going out.  Everything seems to be going a little slower and that includes me.

At long last it is Friday.  What a long week it has been.  Tonight, though, we are out to dinner.  What a great way to relax but to be able to dress up at the same time.

I don’t want to wear what everyone else is wearing.  I would rather something unique and individual.  When hunting for additions to the wardrobe don’t always look in the usual places.

Sadly, I am not a size 10 or I would snap it up.  It is a dress from around the early 1980’s that has a lovely lace overlay.  It has been reclaimed and updated by the Bowerbird team to turn it into a wardrobe classic Little Black Dress. 

By shopping in places like Bowerbird or a recycled clothing outlet you can find some stunning pieces that will make you truly individual. 

I look at my children now and wonder how they got to be so big.  Were they ever really babies?  Were they ever as small as I think they were?  The time passes so quickly that what was once a bouncing baby boy has become a tall teenager overnight.
