My Monday Off.
There is something about Mondays that is fresh and new, except on those odd days of Mondayitis. They seem to hold the promise of better things. If that is so, then why not use your Monday off to kick start a bigger and better future for yourself?
How about taking a course? A University course? You don’t even have to leave home to do it. There are probably lots of things you would like to learn and being able to do it from home is perfect. No battling traffic or bad weather.
Even better - there are dozens of international courses available and they are FREE.
Check out the Open Courseware Consortium where they have a list of free online courses available at universities world wide. I think I fancy some history………………..

My Monday Off.
Now that it is cold outside I find myself thinking twice about going out. Everything seems to be going a little slower and that includes me.
Perhaps today is good time to be thinking more about what I want and who I can be.
Believe In Yourself is a new addition to the Beauty Banquet range of e-books and it is free to download. It contains 101 affirmations which will help you to think about the things you like and the things you need to change about yourself, and the way you see yourself. Beauty Banquet will be adding the ebooks to the website very soon so that they are always available to you.
So, perhaps spend your day off thinking about yourself. We so rarely get the time to do this yet is can be a life changing experience. I wish you luck in your self-development.

My Monday Off.
It is cold now that winter has set in, and I want to makeover my bedroom. I want something rich and warm, that invites me in for a cosy cuddle. While a man who fits that description would be good, so would a sumptuous bedroom.
I find the hardest part of designing a new theme for my room is selecting the right colours. Dulux have come up with a tool that helps. It lets you select different colours for different parts of your room so that you can get a feel for it before you actually commit a painting crime. The program lets you upload a photo of the room you want to work on so you can see the effect that windows, mirrors and lighting has on the colour.
Before you pick up a paintbrush why not see what those colours will look like first? It may save a lot of time and effort.

My Monday Off.
Winter can dry out our skins and it leaves me with hands and feet that feel permanently cold.
On this day off why not tend to your poor hands and feet with some TLC and essential oils. This recipe is not suitable for you if you are pregnant. Try to stay away from most essential oils at this time.
Hands and Feet Body Rub
5 drops Black Pepper Essential Oil
5 drops Ginger Essential Oil
2 drops Cypress Essential OIl
20mls carrier oil such as sweet almond.
Blend the oils with the carrier oil. Gently rub the blend into your feet and hands. The oils will promote warmth (and the rubbing doesn’t hurt either!) and the massage will boost your circulation helping your hands and feet to keep warm.
Now just pull on a warm pair of socks, grab a nice hot drink and let the oils work their way into your skin. You will soon notice a difference.

My Monday Off.
The trouble with having a day off is that you don’t always have someone to spend it with. Sometimes it is bliss to be alone but other days you just want to cuddle up with someone, don’t you?
I found my perfect someone. Here he is.
Meet Edward Bear. He is a soft, warm bear who is 28cms long. He just loves to cuddle and snuggle up in front of a good movie. In his opinion, a little hot chocolate make the moment perfect.
Good cuddlers are hard to find and Edward is perfect for the role.
He and his friends are available from I Love Gifts (a division of I Love Sport)

My Monday Off.
Today, take time out to read some poetry and think about the beauty of our language. There is something about poetry that slows the mind and the heart so that you can ’stop amd smell the daisies.”
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we’ll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we’ll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
by Shel Silverstein
Have a great day off!

My Monday Off.
Today is my day off so the last thing I want to be doing is cooking dinner for the family. If only they all had the same tastes!
I found this clip which is called “How to cook a chicken curry in 10 minutes’ and it caught my attention straight away. 10 minutes to cook dinner? Perfect.
After watching it I know it will take a little longer. The 10 minutes applies to the cooking time, but the preparation is simple, especially if you already have your spices. This one could be handy. I hope it is helpful for you, too. Why waste the day off slaving over a hot stove?

Dance, anyone?
What a smooth dance move the Moon Walk is. It is something that I could never figure out how to do. Oh, you either? Have a look at this video clip and it will show you step by step how to do it. Guess what I will be doing today? This is more my kind of exercise than running!
If dancing is your idea of fun but your husband is a continual dancefloor embarassment then he must watch this next funny clip. It is worth a chuckle but it does get the message across. Just think, if we could persuade men to watch this we could halve the number of clips sent in to Funniest Home Videos!

My Monday Off.
My desk looks like a battleground, which I guess it is in a way. I am not one of these super tidy people and there are papers strewn around but I know where everything is. Today, though, it is a little out of control. Why is it that what is mine belongs to everyone? I think I need a lock on the drawers! Time to do some serious organising.
I found these at the online Office Warehouse.

Even a PC cleaner with bits to clean the mouse, they keyboard and all the nooks and crannies!
