TGIF!
This weekend looks like a fix-it-up weekend. Luckily we can now buy a tool kit in pink that is made for women. By doing it yourself you know the job will be done.
Miss Fixit is a tool kit for women and it holds all the little essentials for managing household emergencies. It has a screwdriver for every type of application, insulated pliers, cutting knife, measuring tape and socket spinners. Now to figure out what to do with them.

A Womans Weakness.
No. not chocolate.
I picked on the men yesterday, so today it is our turn. How many of you lose your keys? Go on. Admit
it. If you are anything like me, you stagger in with arms full of groceries and drop the keys on the bench. Later you have to search high and low to find them again, while He stands there snorting about disorganised women.
Hm.
Why, then, is this little goodie available at GIfts For Him?
The Wireless Key Finder is a great little tool (far too good for He who snorts) It has four coloured recievers that secure to any object with the fob ring or with the double-sided Velcro adhesive pad supplied. Use one for your keys, one for the phone, one for your bag and one for your wandering toddler. When you want to find the missing item just press the matching button and wait for the beep.

How to help a man remember things.
We all know that men only remember what they want to remember, don’t we? Sometimes they need a little help. Here is the answer.
This is a Digital Voice Memo. It has a total recording time of 20 seconds. The message can be played back and recorded over. All you need to do is to record your shopping list, or anniversary reminder and send him off.
All we need to figure out now is how to remind him to listen to it!

Grow your own herbs
Isabell Shipard is a recognised authority on growing and using herbs in your daily life. We all know that herbs can taste delicious, but we forget that they have health benefits. We also forget that they were key elements of our early medicines and that they contain many ingredients that can heal certain conditions today.
Isabell is about to release a 2 DVD set called
Wonderful World of Herbs
It is an extensive course that covers all you need to know. The set is only $35 which is great value, but if you order now you will find special offers open as pre-order deals.

My Monday Off.
There is something about Mondays that is fresh and new, except on those odd days of Mondayitis. They seem to hold the promise of better things. If that is so, then why not use your Monday off to kick start a bigger and better future for yourself?
How about taking a course? A University course? You don’t even have to leave home to do it. There are probably lots of things you would like to learn and being able to do it from home is perfect. No battling traffic or bad weather.
Even better - there are dozens of international courses available and they are FREE.
Check out the Open Courseware Consortium where they have a list of free online courses available at universities world wide. I think I fancy some history………………..

TGIF!
Breathe a sigh of relief. Friday is here at last.
Tonight we are staying home and because I don’t want to slave in the kitchen we are going for an old favourite - Ginger and Lemongrass Fish. This is fast, easy and healthy, and something about the flavours seems to kick the weekend off with a zing. Most of the ingredients can be bought in a jar or tube which makes for a lazy preparation.
Ginger - Lemongrass Fish. (serves 2)
1 tbsp chopped lemongrass
1 tspn minced ginger
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp (or to taste) minced chili
2 pieces firm white fish fillet.
Mix all the ingredients, except the fish, into a paste. Rub it all over the fish and then leave the fish to marinate for about 5 minutes.
Heat a heavy based pan to a high heat and place the fish in it. Seal the fish and then turn it over. Lower the heat to medium and cook through.
That’s it. Simple. We usually serve it with salads from the deli or with steamed vegetables.

Learning to Walk
When your child starts to take those first steps it is a magical time. I remember being so proud of my babies. I also remember all the bending and backache that came with it. Helping baby walk is such a joy but holding their hands through it all can be a pain in the back.
Enter Walking Wings. This clever little gadget will help you to help baby learn to walk while saving your back. It also puts less stress on baby’s shoulders because you don’t have to hold them up. The band just wraps around the childs waist and you hold them via the straps. Clever?

Cupcake Art
Cupcakes have made a comeback lately, and for good reason. They are delicious and an easily portable goodie to eat on the run. They can be decorated in many ways with flowers, lollies or fancy icing. It is limited only by your imagination.
When you have created a cupcake work of art you need somewhere to display them, and this stand is perfect. It holds 23 cakes and makes a stunning centrepiece to any table.
